LGBTQIA+ /
GSRD

  • GSRD is the acronym for gender, sexuality and relationship diversity.

  • LGBTQIA+ is an acronym for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex and asexual people, as well as others who identify within the GSRD spectrum.

I am part of the queer community, and have a lot of experience working with people who are part of these communities – both as a counsellor and in other settings including sexual health services, community events and support helplines. My practice is queer and trans-affirming, kink-positive and sex worker friendly.

I know firsthand how important it can be to feel safe to bring all of yourself to therapy. Some people want counselling specifically to address topics relating to gender, sexuality and relationships. For others, they can feel more at ease knowing they don’t need to explain these parts of themselves even if it’s not something they want to talk about. On the other hand, you may not identify with any of these labels or descriptions, but still want to explore aspects of your gender, sexuality or how you relate to others.

You don't have to fit into any of these categories for us to work together. But no matter what your gender or sexuality may be – or whether you are unsure about what they are –  I hope this space can be one where all parts of you are welcome, no matter what topics you want to discuss.
